LESCO's major initiative to end bribery.

The reason for load shedding during heat wave is NTDC's old system which is being upgraded and new transformers are being installed.

More than 50 feeders were deadshot due to heavy wind and rain in different areas of Lesko region, due to which electricity supply was suspended in the affected areas. Due to heavy wind and rain, Northern And Sheikhupura Circle was the most affected. On the instructions of LESCO Chief Executive Engineer Shahid Haider, the field staff was put on high alert. The NTDC team completed the restoration work of three towers affected by heavy rains in Kangri area of Balochistan and 220 KV double circuit DG Khan - Loralai transmission line was successfully energized. National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik instructed the concerned agencies to be alert and take steps to continuously monitor rivers and streams in view of monsoon rains and possible floods.

Markup rate on GP fund of government employees fixed at 14.22%
The federal government has increased the rate of markup on GP Fund, according to the ongoing notification of the Ministry of Finance, the rate of markup on State Provident Fund (GP Fund) has been fixed at 14.22% for the financial year 2022-23. The rate was 12.40% in the financial year 2021-22 and 7.90% in the financial year 2020-21, the mark-up rate on GP fund of government employees will be 14.22% in the financial year 2022-23.
